For more than 20 years, Via Christi Rehabilitation Hospital has hosted the Summer Splash event at El Dorado Lake for water enthusiasts with disabilities.
Summer Splash gives people with disabilities the opportunity to try something they have never experienced before - or return to activities they enjoyed before their injuries, including jet skiing and riding on the pontoon boat.
Event planners typically expect 15-20 participants and an equal number of friends or family members to join volunteers from Via Christi Rehabilitation Hospital and Via Christi Home Health-Wichita, as well as other members of the community.
