Kevin Strecker, a Scott City, Kansas, native, earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Communications from Kansas State University in 1993. The following year, he began working for what is now Via Christi Rehabilitation Hospital. He became licensed as an emergency medical technician and over the next three years served Via Christi in several different capacities.
Strecker left Wichita in 1997, during which time he completed his master's in Business Administration and was a regional administrator for HealthSouth's imaging division. In 2002, he returned to Via Christi Regional Medical Center, now Via Christi Hospital on St. Francis, as director of Radiology.
Strecker was named vice president of operations for Anatomi Imaging in March 2003. In May 2006, he was named vice president of Imaging and Laboratory Services for Via Christi Wichita Health Network, now Via Christi Hospitals in Wichita, and in 2009 he became vice president, Operations.
In May 2010, Strecker was named president and CEO of the newest hospital in the Via Christi system — Via Christi Hospital on St. Teresa — a 68-bed community hospital in West Wichita. His title was changed to senior administrator for the Hospital on St. Teresa in 2013 as part of a title structure change that occurred throughout Via Christi.
Strecker completed a master’s in Leadership and Management in 2011.
