Volunteer Opportunities

Our volunteers offer assistance to patients, visitors and staff members in many areas of the hospital center. Below is a listing of volunteer opportunities at Via Christi.

Cancer Center
Serve as escorts to patients and family members, provide courier service to other departments, and assist staff with education/screening services.

Coffee Cart
Serve coffee to patients and families, keep cart supplied and clean.

Diagnostic Imaging
Transport patients to and from Diagnostic Imaging.

Floor Courtesy
Provide fresh water and ice to patients, provide bedside trash bags, and visit with patients.

Gift Shop
Assist customers with gift selections, ring up sales, do layaways and gift certificates, keep shop clean and inviting to customers.

Information Desk
Escort or direct persons to departments and patient rooms, answer Care Calls, deliver mail and flowers.

Secretarial Pool
Answer telephones, assist with miscellaneous clerical assignments, prepare Patient Information Packets, and assist with clinics and mailings.

Hospitality
Welcome patients and visitors at hospital west entrance, escort them to their destination, promote hospitality and assist staff and visitors as needed.

Hospitality Shuttle
Transport patients and visitors to and from the parking lots, hospital and its outlying service buildings.

Snack Bar
Serve customers, keep counters and tables clean, receive money and make appropriate change.
