Via Christi Foundation supports many programs and ministries that promote the Via Christi Health mission of providing quality health care to all with special concern for our neighbors who are vulnerable. Here are a few of the ways we help:
Children's Miracle Network Hospitals at Via Christi Health. As part of an alliance of 170 hospitals nationwide, we help sick and injured Kansas children and their families receive the care they need, regardless of hospital or physician affiliation.
International Family Medicine Fellowship. This one-of-a-kind program provides family physicians with knowledge and clinical skills to effectively serve the poorest and most underserved in developing countries — and in the process, make a real difference in lives of people there.
Gerard House. Pregnant teens and young women find shelter in this safe and supportive home as they decide whether to keep and raise their child or place it with an adoptive couple.
Patient services. Foundation funds help provide patient services at Via Christi Hospitals, ranging from new equipment and technology to patient and family amenities for our cancer, transplant, burn, newborn, pediatric, emergency, neurology, women's services and intensive care units — and more.
Via Christi Gift Shops. Operated by Via Christi Volunteers, our hospital Gift Shops feature a wide array of flowers and gift items for patients, visitors and employees. Best of all, the proceeds benefit Via Christi Hospital patient services.
Via Christi Foundation also supports Via Christi Patient and Employee Assistance Funds, an Employee Education Fund, Guardian Angel Program that recognizes outstanding physicians, nurses and other healthcare providers, awards Via Christi Volunteers-Partners in Caring and Children's Miracle Network Hospitals grants to both Via Christi Health and community health-related programs and services.
