Couple chooses Via Christi Inn for their wedding venue December 2012
When Shawn Killman and his fiancee, Megan Jackson, were looking for a place for their wedding, they chose an unconventional option: the Via Christi Inn, where out-of-town patients and their families can stay while receiving treatment in Wichita. Shawn's family stayed there for 3 1/2 months last year while his father, Terry, was treated for leukemia and underwent a bone marrow transplant. Now, the Via Christi Inn will have two good sets of memories for the Killmans -- Terry's healing, and Shawn's wedding.
The Midtown Ronald McDonald House at 1110 N. Emporia is located just north of Via Christi Hospital, 929 N. St. Francis. It features nine attractive guest rooms, available for short and long stays. Donated food is available for guest use.
