Cindy LaFleur, a native of Pratt County, began serving Via Christi in 1981 as a therapeutic recreation therapist for St. Joseph Rehabilitation and progressively took on more responsibilities. In 1989, she was promoted to director of Rehabilitation for St. Joseph Medical Center, now Via Christi Hospital on Harry. After the hospital became part of Via Christi, LaFleur directed Outpatient Rehabilitation Services for Via Christi's Wichita Health Network, and later was given responsibility for Sports Medicine, Prevention and Wellness, and Occupational Medicine as well.
LaFleur is a graduate of the University of Kansas, and holds a bachelor's degree in Science, with an emphasis in therapeutic recreation; in addition, she completed a fellowship in Rehabilitation Management at the University of Missouri-Kansas City.
In February 2006, LaFleur was promoted to vice president of Rehabilitation Services for Via Christi Wichita Health Network (now Via Christi Hospitals Wichita, Inc.) and administrator of what is now Via Christi Rehabilitation Hospital.
In October 2010, LaFleur was named president of Post-Acute Care, and in 2013 her title was changed to senior administrator for Post-Acute Care as part of a title structure change that occurred throughout Via Christi.
