Jeff Korsmo joined Via Christi Health in September 2011 after 28 years at Mayo Clinic, where he served two terms as Chief Administrative Officer in Rochester, Minn., and was a member of the Mayo Clinic Board of Trustees.
His many leadership roles included serving as chief financial officer of Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville and Rochester, and Executive Director of the Mayo Clinic Health Policy Center. He was active in health care finance and other policy issues for Mayo and its patients on a national level and led a strategic international project for Mayo Clinic.
Korsmo was born in Rochester, Minn., at Saint Marys Hospital. He earned his bachelor’s degree in business administration at St. John’s University in Collegeville, Minn., in 1980, and his master’s degree in management at Purdue University in 1983. He joined Mayo Clinic in 1983 as Mayo Clinic’s first administrative fellow.
Korsmo has served on a variety of civic and professional organizations and has participated in and given presentations around the world.
