Jack Shellito, MD is chief clinical officer for Via Christi Clinic. Dr. Shellito previously served as Executive Medical Officer of Wichita Clinic from 2005 to 2011, prior to its acquisition by Via Christi Health in 2011.
Dr. Shellito joined Wichita Clinic, now incorporated into Via Christi Health as part of Via Christi Clinic, as a vascular and general surgeon in 1985 and continues to have an active phlebology practice (venous disease) that he began in 2006. He is a Clinical Associate Professor at the University of Kansas School of Medicine-Wichita and serves as Assistant Program Director for the KUSM-W General Surgery residency.
He received his medical degree from Tufts University School of Medicine in Boston. He completed his General Surgery residency at the University of Michigan Medical Center in Ann Arbor and his Vascular Surgery fellowship at University of Tennessee, Memphis. In May of 2012 he completed his Master’s of Medical Management from the University of Southern California.
Dr. Shellito is board certified by the American Board of Surgery, the American Board of General Vascular Surgery and the American Board of Phlebology. He is a Registered Physician in Vascular Interpretation. He is member of local, regional and national medical associations/societies and surgical societies. He is a fellow in the Southwest Surgical Congress, the American College of Surgeons and the Kansas Chapter of the American College of Surgeons among others. He is a charter member of the International Society for Vascular Surgery.
