When you're having a baby you want the privacy, special touches and caring support of a freestanding childbirth center. But you also want access to all the technology and specialists that might ever be needed during labor and delivery.
Our NewLife Center gives you both. It spans the entire fourth floor, creating the feeling of a freestanding center. But it's a comfortable place even for women with high-risk pregnancies who may need the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU). Our caring, experienced, family-friendly staff will be there for you before, during and after the childbirth.
Staffed by highly skilled labor and delivery nurses dedicated to providing family-centered care, the NewLife Center has 15 spacious and attractively decorated labor and delivery suites. Each is designed to provide an intimate and comfortable environment for you and those with whom you choose to share your childbirth experience.
Each room also is equipped with the technology necessary to provide a safe labor, birth and delivery for you and your baby. And because we believe every birthing center should be equipped to handle the unexpected, state-of-the-art surgical suites and a Level III NICU are just steps away.
After your baby is born, you'll move to one of our large, well-appointed mom and baby suites, where the queen-size beds create the pampering atmosphere of a posh hotel. You'll even be able to order a tasty meal from our room service menu.
Breastfeeding moms will find advice and encouragement with breastfeeding classes before their babies are born, a visit from a certified lactation consultant during their hospital stay, and follow-up support after going home.
The NewLife Center care team is highly experienced and specially trained to care for moms and babies through every phase of labor, delivery and after childbirth to return home.
The NewLife Center is prepared for even the most complicated pregnancies and births, with obstetricians and labor and delivery nursing staff trained in obstetrical and neonatal critical care for high risk pregnant mothers and premature babies or ill newborns.
Birth plan (pdf) allow expectant moms to plan in advance what sort of pain relief they'd like during childbirth, whether they'd like silence or soft music, or be alone with their partner during the actual childbirth or have other family or friends present.
Childbirth classes prepare parents and families for impending birth with a tour of our facility, birthing education and more.
Tours of the birthing center at the NewLife Center are available Monday evenings and Saturday mornings. Each tour includes a labor and delivery question and answer session, a chance to see the NewLife Center birthing rooms, meet other expectant families and begin to plan your childbirth experience. We will go over everything from where to park, what to bring and what to expect.
