David A. Gambino serves Via Christi as chief strategy and regional administrative officer. He oversees strategy, strategic development, new models of care, outreach and regional hospital operations.
Gambino has held various leadership positions during his 30-plus years in health care and was most recently at Alegent Health in Omaha, Neb., prior to joining Via Christi in 2006. He also held positions with what is now Trinity Health in Michigan and began his career in pharmacy with Mt. Clemens General Hospital in Mt. Clemens, Mich.
Gambino holds a master's degree in health services administration from Central Michigan University and a bachelor's degree in pharmacy from Wayne State University in Detroit.
