Help raise awareness and funds to find a cure for breast cancer

Join Via Christi Saturday, Sept. 28, 2013, at the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure. The 5K run/walk will begin at Towne East Square in Wichita.

Seventy-five percent of the proceeds raised go toward education and screenings for underserved women in 95 Kansas counties, with the rest going toward finding a cure for breast cancer.

Last year, the race drew more than 9,500 walkers, runners, survivors and supporters, including 235 participants on 15 Via Christi Health-affiliated teams. Between donations and registration fees, Via Christi teams raised more than $7,000.

Staff at the Via Christi tent will be giving out pink string backpacks again this year, along with information about breast health services offered by Via Christi Clinic, Anatomi Imaging and Via Christi Cancer Center.

Please help us raise funds and support cancer awareness by going to and joining one of our Via Christi teams, or by forming one of your own!
