Walmart and Sam’s Club associates, customers and members just wrapped up the company’s annual 6-week fundraising campaign and confirmed it raised $294,740 for Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals at Via Christi Health.
The fundraising campaign ran May 7-June 21 in Walmart and Sam’s Club locations including Arkansas City, Augusta, Colby, Derby, Dodge City, El Dorado, Garden City, Goddard, Goodland, Great Bend, Hays, Hutchinson, Liberal, McPherson, Newton, Pratt, Salina, Wellington, Wichita, and Winfield.
Walmart and Sam’s Club associates accepted donations in-store, and several held special events to raise funds for CMN Hospitals at Via Christi Health.
Like all in-store CMN Hospitals fundraisers, all of the donations raised from the Walmart and Sam’s Club campaign will help create miracles by funding needed medical care, equipment and therapy programs that save and improve the lives of one in 10 children across North America every year. Donations help support the $6,500 in charitable care CMN Hospitals provide every minute in the United States.
This year marks the 26th year Walmart and Sam’s Club have raised funds for Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals.
Walmart and Sam’s Club have partnered with Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals since 1987, raising more than $650 million for children’s hospitals. In 2012, Walmart and Sam’s Club associates, customers and members raised more than $60 million through the 6 week campaign and additional fundraising throughout the year for Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals in the United States and Canada.
