Riley County Emergency Medical Services (EMS)

Riley County EMS is owned by Riley County and operated by Mercy Regional Health Center through a contractual agreement. Riley County EMS is licensed as a Type I paramedic ambulance service by the Kansas Board of Emergency Medical Services.

Available 24 hours a day year-round and serving approximately 4,500 patients each year, Riley County EMS maintains five primary ambulances that are stocked and set up for a variety of emergency situations, 2 event vehicles, as well as three first-response vehicles. RCEMS provides standby services at a variety of events: Kansas State University sporting events, Little Apple New Year's Eve celebration, Fourth of July celebration and Country Stampede.
The main facility is located at 2011 Claflin Road. A secondary station is shared with the Manhattan Fire Department located on Poyntz Avenue in Manhattan. Additional facilities are shared with the Riley County Fire Department in Riley and Randolph.

Riley County EMS also runs the Safe Kids Riley County injury prevention program.
