Rotational experiences generally last one month each and include 8 months of core experiences

Four months of elective experiences are available so tthe resident may select from among a list of available training experiences.

  • Hematology Oncology/Bone Marrow Transplant

Longitudinal Experiences

  • Inpatient Anticoagulation Dosing Service
  • Pharmacokinetic Dosing
  • Committee Involvement (e.g. P&T)
  • Formulary and Policy Maintenance
  • Medication Use Evaluation (MUE)
  • Safe Medication Practices and ADR Monitoring
  • Hospial Pharmacy Practice
  • Drug Information/Formulary Management
  • Automation & Technology
  • Practice Management

Concentrated Experiences

Experiences will be short in duration (a few days) and focus on a specific area/task. Possible experiences include:

  • Anticoagulation service training and participation
  • Preparation and participation in The Joint Commission survey
  • Budget preparation
  • Travel experiences to other sites
