Fathers-to-Be
Daddy Basics Daddy Basics uses trained facilitators and "veteran" dads to cover topics such as:
- Becoming a dad
- Forming a new family
- Caring for new moms
- Safety issues
- Preventing child abuse
- Bonding
- Balancing work and family
- Forming a parenting team
This class also offers actual hands-on opportunities for new dads to become comfortable in caring for babies. Veteran dads will demonstrate activities such as:
- Changing diapers
- Feeding
- Swaddling
- Holding the baby
- Dealing with crying
