Mercy Regional’s efforts to provide the best patient care possible have led to several recent recognitions.

HFAP Accreditation:

The Healthcare Facilities Accreditation Program (HFAP) is an independent, accreditation organization recognized by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS). Mercy Regional Health Center earned this distinction after HFAP conducted an extensive and objective review of the hospital’s quality and safety standards in July 2013.

Its mission is to advance high quality patient care and safety through objective application of recognized standards. Its accreditation is recognized by the federal government, state governments, managed care organizations, and insurance companies.

Blue Distinction Award:  Blue Cross Blue Shield of Kansas has named Mercy Regional Health Center a Blue Distinction Center for Knee and Hip Replacement®. The Blue Distinction Centers for Specialty Care program recognizes facilities for their expertise in delivering quality specialty care. Blue Distinction Centers® are required to meet quality measures for patient safety and outcomes, developed with input from the medical community.
