Mercy Regional’s efforts to provide the best patient care possible have led to several recent recognitions.

HFAP Accreditation: 

The Healthcare Facilities Accreditation Program (HFAP) is an independent, accreditation organization recognized by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS). Mercy Regional Health Center earned this distinction after HFAP conducted an extensive and objective review of the hospital’s quality and safety standards in July 2013.

The HFAP is a non-profit, nationally recognized accreditation organization. It has been accrediting healthcare facilities for more than 60 years and under Medicare since its inception. Its mission is to advance high quality patient care and safety through objective application of recognized standards. Its accreditation is recognized by the federal government, state governments, managed care organizations, and insurance companies.   

Blue Distinction Award:  Blue Cross Blue Shield of Kansas has named Mercy Regional Health Center a Blue Distinction Center for Knee and Hip Replacement®. The Blue Distinction Centers for Specialty Care program recognizes facilities for their expertise in delivering quality specialty care. Blue Distinction Centers® are required to meet quality measures for patient safety and outcomes, developed with input from the medical community.

HealthGrades Award:  Mercy Regional Health Center is ranked among the nation’s top 15 percent of hospitals for the inpatient experience it provides, according to HealthGrades, the nation’s leading independent healthcare ratings organization. Mercy Regional Health Center is a recipient of HealthGrades Outstanding Patient Experience Award, a designation based on patient survey data collected as part of the federal government’s Hospital Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems, or HCAHPS.
