Mercy Regional’s efforts to provide the best patient care possible have led to several recent recognitions.

HealthGrades awards. In 2009, Mercy Regional was ranked among the top 15 percent of hospitals nationwide for exemplary service to patients, according to a study released by HealthGrades, the nation's leading independent healthcare ratings company. Mercy Regional was also ranked among the top 10 percent in the country for joint replacement surgery in 2008 and 2009. Read more.

100 Top Hospitals award. Mercy Regional was named one of the
100 Top Hospitals: Performance Improvement Leaders of 2007. This honor placed Mercy Regional in the top 3.5 percent of hospitals studied throughout the United States. The annual study, released on in August 2008 by news and information company Thomson Reuters, identifies hospitals that demonstrated the fastest and most consistent rate of improvement over five consecutive years.

Outstanding HCAHPS results. In 2008, the Hospital Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems (HCAHPS) released the survey results of patients who had overnight hospital stays. Mercy Regional scored very well, with questions covering critical issues such as staff-patient communication, response time, pain control, and overall satisfaction. See the results.

Breast Imaging Center of Excellence designation. In 2007, the Women’s Imaging Center of Mercy Regional was designated a Breast Imaging Center of Excellence by the
American College of Radiology, making it one of the only centers in the state with that designation. Read more.
