About Us
Mercy Regional Health Center was built to serve the local community. An acute care facility licensed to operate 150 beds in two facilities, this private, not-for-profit organization was created in 1996 by combining The Saint Mary Hospital and Memorial Hospital. The primary mission of Mercy Regional is to promote community health by providing quality, compassionate healthcare services that embrace our values of quality, human dignity and community. In other words, our purpose is caring for, and about, our patients.
Mercy Regional is committed to meeting our community's healthcare needs through an exceptional, compassionate, modernized healthcare system. On a day-to-day basis, that means more than 140 physicians, over 1,000 employees, and approximately 200 volunteers serving the people of Manhattan and the surrounding areas with a wide range of quality health and wellness services.
It is the outstanding quality of life that retains and attracts citizens to the beautiful Flint Hills — after all, this is what creates a "home." Mercy Regional Health Center's expansion efforts are about continually improving and making home the best, safest and most comfortable place possible. It is our vision to provide the highest quality health care in the country...right here in the heartland.
